boromir for jenfr

Boromir : 01/2002 : Pencil on sketchbook paper : 9 x 12 : This was a gift for Jenn(Jenfr). One of the things that really strikes me about so many of the characters in Lord of the Rings is the sense of regret -- whether they carry it during the story, or gain it by the end. Boromir fought so hard to do what he stubbornly thought was the right thing, but in the end it still caused him to fall. Were his actions before death truly enough to bring him redemption in his own heart? Or was his doom, in his mind, the only fitting punishment?

I might like this picture, but for there's a few wonky things about it. Like, the hand facing the viewer, or something in the curve of his spine.
